About the Centre for Doctoral Training

Our EPSRC CDT in Robotics and AI for Net Zero (RAINZ) will train and develop the next generation of multi-disciplinary robotic systems engineers, in both research and commercialisation of Robotics and AI in support of the UK’s Net Zero Strategy.

The CDT will leverage Robotics and AI to advance net zero energy assets. By developing innovative technologies and workflows, we aim to: Enhance safety; reduce costs; decarbonise operations; and improve system viability.

  • The University of Manchester Centre for Robotics and AI, a leader in robotics and AI research
  • The University of Glasgow Autonomous Systems and Connectivity, renowned for its aerospace and autonomous systems expertise
  • The Oxford Robotics Institute, renowed for its advanced research in robotics and AI
